In 2012, PR Ad Agency and their niche marketing group, UDM, chose to make Oregon their new home bringing something new to consumers that was lacking in other Oregon news formats.

“What makes Oregon Health News.org so unique” said Barry Locke, the new host of DOC TALK, “ is that they offer the health and wellness community an opportunity to tell their story in the news, from their own experiences within their own community.”

“It’s clear that there is a need with the changing tide of health care reform and Obama care that the health care industry in Oregon is going to need a voice, and that voice should definitely be helping those who are in the trenches”, said VP of operations, Douglas Caudell.

The format appears simple, consumer friendly and fairly easy to navigate .

“There is little bit of everything” shared Caudell, adding, “The news site features weekly health news along with topics ranging from Healthy Living to Hospital do’s and don’ts, plus online news broadcasts and shows like DocTalk” Caudell added, there are fun happenings including awards for the ‘Best of Oregon’ and a community event calendar, designed at helping bring consumers and health care professionals closer together and bridging the gap.”

There are also plans to offer free health care guides online quarterly from Oregon Health Digest, a division of HealthNewsUSA.org.

The news site features over 25 health and wellness categories, representing healthcare professionals in cities such as Ashland, Medford,, Salem, Beaverton, Bend, Corvallis Eugene, Portland, Gresham, HIllsboro and Springfield to name a few. The online directory has several thousand listings already and It appears the goal is to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to ‘be found’ and have a voice in the community.

Lauren Lane of Grants Pass, Oregon will be onboard as project manager and has spear-headed marketing and promotional campaigns for companies such as Coors, ReMax, Frontier Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Wells Fargo Banks and Habitat for Humanity to name a few.

“I am very excited to be here in the Pacific Northwest”, said Lane, “fulfilling a long time dream of mine” Lane also shared, “I have always loved Oregon and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity.” When asked what she saw as her biggest challenge Lane replied, “Featuring people in the News is the best job anyone could have, but keeping up with the demand might be a bit of a challenge, but one that I am definitely up for.”
