Rogue Valley Health Fair Was a Great Opportunity to Meet With Health and Wellness Professionals In Medford

Rogue Valley Health FairWith almost 70 local vendors and hundreds of attendees, the Rogue Valley Health Fair was a huge success.

The first 250 attendees that walked through the door at 9:00 a.m. received a swag bag that contained both goodies and gift certificates, including a free loaf of bread from Great Harvest Bread Company of Medford. Great Harvest was also on hand providing samples of their breads for all attendees who visited their booth at the show.

“The Armory was the perfect venue and there was plenty of parking and smiling participants”, said Michael Davis who attended the event as the staff photographer on behalf of Oregon Health News. “I really enjoyed meeting all the vendors. They were extremely friendly and clearly having a good time,” Davis said.

After entering the venue and paying the $2.00 admission fee, there were plenty of additional swag bags given out by vendors overflowing with information or treats as attendees walked from booth to booth learning about a variety of health and wellness services.

Sherm’s Food4Less had a great sample bag including strawberry jam, carrot cake oatmeal, and pear candies. Take-aways are always a part of the charm of attending the shows and vendors provided gifts from sewing kits and hand sanitizer (including gift and prize drawings) and extremely helpful literature and wellness information. It was also an big plus that the show had several work shops complimenting the educational benefits provided throughout the day.

Rogue Health BoothVendors included Rogue Health whose popular booth had a line-up of attendees receiving free massages and reflexology services. “We care about the health and wellness of the community”, said Therese Holliday, owner of Rogue Health. “We enjoyed providing a variety of free services just as much as the attendees did” Holliday shared. “This is truly our passion”.

Another popular booth was Organic Elements Spa, who had a variety of massage services including complimentary make-overs and a very friendly staff. The owner Tamara Miller was on hand to meet and greet the attendees. Tamara is well known as one of the best trainers in the upper crest of high end resort spas. She has trained and led several 4 and 5 star Forbes, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, Top 5 Hotel Spas in the Continental United States rated spas.

Signature Hospice Home Health Care provided exciting information about their upcoming launch in Southern Oregon.

After an engaging conversation and opportunity to meet with Sunstone Medical Research, LLC, we gained insight into how clinical trials can help people who are uninsured, or who can’t afford the large co-pays for costly treatments “This was definitely one of the highlights” said Gerson, Media Director for Oregon Health News.

From Mountain bikes,to weight-loss products, free hearing tests, vitamins, chiropractic evaluations, and booths over- flowing with educational information on prostrate cancer, over-eaters anonymous, and literature on healthier lifestyles. The show had plenty of product samples and services offering something for everyone.

“I was very impressed with how friendly and informative the vendors all were”, said David Veach of White City. “They were genuinely happy to be sharing their information and the attendees were very engaged.”

For the next six weeks Oregon Health News will be featuring a variety of vendors in the weekly news, and introducing Oregon’s health and wellness community to several products and services that were available at the show.
