Gloria Natalia, an Ashland resident gives beauty advice and encourages women to feel good on the inside while teaching them how to look great on the outside.

Frequently seen in the media are images of men and woman who seem to exude a unique inner confidence. In a culture that is as diverse as ours, a recent feature in the New York Times noted that make-up is often linked to likability and competence in the workplace.
The Worldwide & US Cosmetics Market confirms that beauty continues to be a force of nature.
According to Euromonitor the total sales in the beauty and personal care industry were roughly $426 billion in 2011. Total global beauty sales for January through March of 2012 were up 14% to $2,278,000,000. Total Makeup sales were $932 million, up10%, and the total Skincare sales were $844 million, up 19%.
In 2011, the US cosmetics & toiletries market surpassed pre-recession levels in sales with a 4.2% growth to exceed $38 billion.
Cosmetics has become a billion dollar industry and is continuing to grow steadily. “Harmonizing a woman’s inner and outer beauty is no easy task”, said Gloria Natalia, an International hair designer, make-up artist and television show host.
Gloria Natalia has made it her life’s work to teach, share and encourage women from all walks of life. Born and raised in Peru, and moving with her family to Orange County, California in her teens, Gloria knew she wanted to help women transform their outer beauty while expressing an individual inner beauty.
As a child, Gloria had been bullied and teased as she was growing up, referencing those learning experiences at the core of her beauty and make-up success.
As Gloria evolved into a passionate entrepreneur, it was this innate talent that she credits with transforming her own self-esteem while developing her own radiant outer appearance.
At age 19 Gloria Natalia had a break-through opportunity when she finished her formal training and graduated from cosmetology school in Hollywood.
The very first job she applied for was at a beauty salon on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. “I walked in exuding confidence and they hired me immediately”, Natalia stated. This led her to an opportunity to work with many celebrity clients and formulate the beauty trade secrets that ultimately ensured her successful career.
As time went on, Gloria Natalia said she married, had two daughters, and opened her first successful salon in West LA.
During her career Gloria Natalia trained with Vidal Sassoon. She was also the bilingual educator and spokesperson for Revlon Professional, Paul Mitchell and Wella. Additionally, she created the Spanish section for Modern Salon magazine, referred to as the #1 magazine in the beauty salon industry.
After settling on a beautiful ranch in Southern Oregon, she then created a private beauty studio where she sees a limited number of clients.

During the span of Gloria Natalia’s career she was sought after as an expert consultant and educator for hair and make-up in a variety of media venues, including television.
Gloria recalls, “One day I went into the studio to assist with hair and make-up and to narrate during a commercial. The television host was a no-show,” she said. “The next thing I know they were asking me to read from the tele-prompter and I instantly became their new television show host.”
“I loved it and it planted a seed which sparked the passion in me to continue teaching, training and transforming women” Gloria added, “It takes tenacity and confidence.”
Over the years Gloria shared that she has helped many women who felt overwhelmed, frustrated or gave-up on trying to develop or enhance their own personal style and appearance.
“I think that watching the popular make-over and enhancement television shows has left many women wishing they had the skill sets or the training to make a significant change”, Gloria said. “Somehow each woman feels she lacks the skills, confidence or knowledge to begin the process.”
After being contacted by the CEO of Mujersisimas (an organization dedicated to empower and inspire Latina women) Natalia was recently asked to be the host of a new television series.
“I am thrilled”, said Natalia. “I have created a system for teaching women a step-by-step process that provides a truly individual and transformational make-over”, adding “I believe in the whole woman, adding “I enjoy helping men and women transform their appearance.”
Gloria Natalia went on to say, “Whether you are 25 or 85, you deserve to feel confident and pulled-together” noting “It is my passion to help you do just that.”
With a little guidance, encouragement, and TLC, Gloria Natalia confirms that a women’s style can bring her confidence, well-being, joy, and fun.
Many business professionals have noted how some women can look so well put together. Women, men and teens all agree that It seems for some people it comes very naturally, while others rely on professional help, engage a beauty expert or seek out some initial training.
