Ashland, ORAshland Fire & Rescue firefighters will trade their blue uniform T-shirts for pink ones. As part of a National Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, firefighters will wear the pink T-shirts for the entire month of October to raise awareness, hope, and funding for women and families affected by breast cancer in Southern Oregon.

Grants Pass, ORKelly’s Automotive has been at the top of the creative list. They are running a campaign called “Get Your Headlights Checked” and well, they aren’t kidding. Everyone is encouraged to come in and get a free cleaning on your vehicles headlights and to remember “breast-self exams save lives.”

Springfield and Salem, OR – Three tattoo parlors are commemorating lost loved ones. The participating parlors will offer pink ribbon tattoos and donate 25 percent of the proceeds to Susan G. Komen from now until October 31. Two parlors in Eugene are Positive Ink and Black Lotus. The third is Memento Ink in Springfield.

Bend, OR – Trek Breast Cancer Awareness MTB Ride (Pine Mountain Sports) is a healthy happening event on Sunday October 13th at 10:00 a.m. Everyone is encouraged to ride mountain bikes to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention. They are providing a fun-family mountain bike ride for all ages and abilities! Goodie bags for all pre-registered riders and two mountain bike routes to choose from: 10 miles or 25 miles.
