When it comes to diagnosing and treating ear problems there are three levels of ear expertise. Primary care physicians (PCP) Ear, nose & throat doctors (ENTSs) and otologists/neurologists. Each has their own niche. There are also a range of hearing aid specialists. They are trained individuals who measure human hearing by an audiometer and by other established means solely for fitting, making selections, adaptations, or sale of hearing aids; this procedure includes the making of impressions for ear molds.
